  • Speech & Language Therapy

    Speech and Language Therapists help children who are struggling at school, and who often have underlying speech and language problems. Receptive, expressive and social communication difficulties at school can prevent a child from reaching developmental milestones. Speech and Language therapists work with young people either in clinic, home or school to enable them to communicate to the best of their ability.

  • Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy

    Occupational Therapists help young people and adults with the developmental and physical skills that will help in their daily living. It focuses on the use of hands and fingers, coordination of movement, self-help skills such as dressing and eating and sensory and perceptual motor integration. It also includes the adaption of the child’s environment and equipment that may be beneficial.

  • Psychologists

    Psychologists have different areas of specialism that may not be obvious from their professional title. Types of psychologists are Educational, Clinical , Counselling and Neuro-psychologists. Some psychologists specialise in assessments of children’s learning and cognitive abilities whilst others specialise in providing therapy and interventions for children with mental health difficulties, Autism and ADHD. We will refer you to the right person depending on the concerns and communicate what you are looking for from the assessment.

  • Education, Health and Care Plans

    Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are legal documents drawn up by a Local Authority which identify a young person’s educational, health and social care needs if there is a confirmed medical diagnosis. It is a detailed paln outlining the provision required to be inpace at school to meet a young person’s special educational needs so that they may access a curriculum. It will set out expectations and targets for the child to achieve and guidelines for the services that will be involved in the support package. Our educational advisors can provide advice about the EHCP process to parents, schools.

  • Paediatrician

    Paediatricians can diagnose and treat a range of childhood illnesses and medical conditions. Paediatricians must sometimes be consulted to formalise a diagnosis, such as Developmental Coordination Disorder/Dyspraxia or to check that there are no underlying developmental concerns that need to be considered. Some paediatricians have different specialisms, and through our network we can help you find the one who is best placed to meet your child’s needs.

  • Therapy & Medication

    Different therapies are available which may be combined with medication to support difficulties that impact on access to and progress in education. Therapy and medication suitable for different diagnoses can be confusing so our team can connect you to the right practioner. We have experience with ADHD, anxiety, eating disorders, school refusal, attachment disorder, family breakup and low mood/depression.
